This 2026 book is “More Clients, Pre-Sold”. It is 151 pages of distilled strategies about “book publishing to attract clients”. It also includes my take on marketing a business via an aligned sales funnel — with your book as the prime attractor.

What is this Marketing Book you Speak Of?
The ‘More Clients, Pre-Sold’ Successful Publishing Structure
Starting with the “Here is the Plan” chapter, there are five parts to a successful publishing strategy for business authors:
- Aiming – publishing goals and profits – aligned with your broader message
- Planning – using online research methods to help plan the book
- Messaging – all the elements around the book – blurb, bio, and website copy
- Design, Produce, Lift-off – this is the getting the right design partner and learning the standards of publishing.
- Activate your advertising plan – starting with organic content marketing, then taking what works into paid advertising.
The rest of this chapter talks about the four most common book writing problems. One of my pet peeves is relayed in “Fear the chatbots, direct the tone”. This speaks to the issue of primarily writing with ChatGPT means your moderated tone is lost, along with personal voice. It is often too dramatic or has superfluos points that are self-evident.
One of the key advantages of writing your own book is that some revelations only crop up as you write.
This Part will Save you from Paying $15 for Author Copies
As well as naming the exact vanity publishing agencies to avoid, I also call out one practice that is unconscionable. That is charging authors to buy their own books at a quite high price. In one example, it was $15 per book to order WHOLESALE, but this is just the start. These ‘publishers’ also take 50% or more of the net profits (royalties) even though you paid plenty for the packages.
I balance these terrible examples with better players and a happy statistic about most business authors gaining in non-monetary ways from their book publishing. All stats have references.
Does the book talk about Sales Funnels for books?
Yes, we have a whole chapter on it. In the Sales Funnels chapter, a friend said I went too deep into the Email Marketing System descriptions. Apologies for that, but I do list the Sales Funnel system I personally used for direct selling my ‘More Clients, Pre-Sold’ book. I also provide tips on what to do first.
So, book sales funnels need not be too complicated. Advertising to a landing page though does get complex, so I don’t go deep into pixels or ad targeting.

Here is one important message about organic visitor traffic

You will also find tips on what to offer new online readers, how to check out all book retail listings at once, and tips on finding reviewers (niche bloggers). All this and more in the chapter: Marketing Secrets and Optimisation.
What is the Book’s Ultimate Message?
The ultimate message from my book is written in the cover blurb:
“The key to business attraction is education, not advertising.”
Yes, the purpose of writing a book for better business is to educate, even persuade on a particular stance, but not to advertise directly. This means you are free to ignore the ‘book sales funnel’ idea; however, the primary reason for selling books directly is to gain permission to contact the reader again.
We live in an age where thousands of people don’t gain permission, build trust, or try to help out. So this is why gaining permission and building trust through your writing is so important.
